    Phyllis Acosta, MS, DrPH, RD, renowned dietician who in the early years made PKU formula by hand before it was commercially available
    Louis Woolf, PhD, PKU Pioneer, is known for first publishing the idea to treat PKU with an amino acid formula

 

 

New For 2012!

Adult PKU & Guests Dinner Join other PKU adults and their spouses or significant others for a fun evening out. Everyone will enjoy a low-protein meal at an area restaurant and get a chance to meet and talk with one another on Friday evening.  $35 for first person; $15 for second person.

Kids Zone Bringing children ages 3-15 for the conference?  Enroll them in Kids Zone!  This supervised children's program will include fun activities, crafts, kid-friendly sessions, swimming and a field trip to the Adventure Aquarium.  Please note that younger children must be potty trained to participate in Kids Zone and additional volunteers will be needed for the outing.  Educational sessions by Cook for Love.  $50 for first child; $25 for each additional child for the entire conference.

Scientific Poster Session
This session will allow you to learn about the latest PKU studies one-on-one with researchers.  AS you walk through the poster displays, you will have the opportunity to stop at any research poster that interests you and learn the information first hand and ask questions.  Don't miss this unique method for learning the latest in PKU research!
