Meet Nicole, one of NPKUA’s fabulous peer mentors!
Nicole is a 30-year-old nurse who lives in Oregon with her wife. Nicole planned their wedding last year while balancing travel, work and PKU! She loves to travel, hike, backpack, cook, try new coffee shops and attend PKU events to stay connected to the community.
“I’m a big believer in progress over perfection!” Nicole shared, “As a mentor, I aim to be supportive, creative with ideas and to help others build confidence and independence with their or their families’ PKU. The PKU community is a form of treatment!”
